Role Model Poster
One of the Club’s most popular and longest-running activities, the role model posters activity gives students the opportunity to display the inspirational people in their lives while also being self-expressive. Students are given disposable cameras and asked to photograph their female role models (they can also bring in a picture they already have, or draw a picture of the person). After a one- to two-week period, students bring the cameras back to the Club and turn them into the Club advisors. Their photos are developed and passed back out to them, along with poster board and supplies for poster-making. When everyone has completed posters of their role models, both mentors and students can volunteer to present and share their stories about the women who inspire them.
